I wouldn't do it at SIN or CAN.
CAN is the worst (esp 02) as ATC doesn't give you any hints as to its vectoring intentions. There you are all on profile for what you think is an intercept of the LLZ - you've pulled a bit of speedbrake earlier, TCAS looks logical - then he takes you through the LLZ and puts you downwind for another 20 track miles so he can get the local boys you don't see behind you in first..... Other times he's kept you way too high, so much so you are expecting he'll obviously keep you on a present perpendicular heading. Then the bugger suddenly turns you onto a 30 deg cut and tells you to drop to 900M - cleared for approach! :ugh: |

now i believe it is not a good idea to turn with clearance. will it bother the LAX ATC if i push the ident button to draw attention before across final? as you had a long career there, do you know if the ATC will be unhappy with that? |
