Circling in GOA
Hi all,
looking at the approach procedures in GOA (LIMJ) I noticed that in case of a circling for rwy 10 after an ILS 28, for cat D airplanes, the MDA is 2860 ft, while performing the same circling after a VOR 28, the MDA is just 1700 ft. Do you know why? :ugh: In case I expect a circling for 10, I will request to perform a VOR 28 instead of ILS 28! :* |
On our charts the VOR is also 1700' for cat D with IAS less than 185kt, staying inside a fixed distance from the SES or GSE.
On the ILS chart, we also have 2860 annotated for Cat D ias > 185kt. For less than 185kt, you get referred to a circling minima chart which allows 1700' provided you stay inside a fixed distance again. So no advantage to the VOR... |
Dear all,
In my limj charts (01.04.11), circling minima for ils and vor are same value. I can not understand note 4 and minima for cat D a/m. It looks like to different values and I don't know why!! Ciao Michelda |
