B787 Lightning Strike

Having just watched the video of the A380 being struck by
lightning whilst on approach to Heathrow - can anyone
reassure me that such a strike on the B787 would be as
ineffective as it appeared to be to the A380 ?

Have they ever rectified the issue regarding positive lightning? Last I checked most planes weren't designed to take positive lightning (cloud to cloud lightning) which is approximately five times stronger than traditional lightning (which most planes are able to tolerate)

A K21 composite glider was struck by lightening in 1999 and the AAIB produced a very full report because of the implications for all traffic. No photos in this URL but they can be found with Google.

There is also this written by the P2 in the glider, which includes some photos of the wreckage and the photos taken later when it was laid out by the AAIB.
