737-800W range at MZFW

Hi guys,

Can anyone supply me with the max range of an 800W when at MZFW option of 62730Kg. MTOW is 79.000Kg.

I would also be interrested on the sane range for the 700W at a MZFW of 55200Kg. MTOW of 70000Kg.

Just go the news that the company that I am working for is seriously considering switching from Airbus to Boeing.

Strange but apparently real.

Thanks,

It will depend mainly on the fuel uplifted and the prevailing winds. Assuming a max uplift, that would mean 16270 Kg in the tanks. Using and average fuel flow of 2500 Kg/hr, that makes the endurance about 6:30 hrs including your reserves. A Cruise speed of M .79 gives an appx TAS of 470 Knots. So in still air, you have a range of about 3060 NM. But in real life you would need to have fuel for your alternate, holding fuel, contingency etc. So i would guess you could get a range of about 2500-2600 NM in a -800W with the parameters you mentioned.

Hope this helps :)

Answer is on page 14/102 for the 737-800.

737-700 is page 12/102.

Winglets increase max. range by about 8%.

Max. gross weight top of climb OPT ALT (+/-)

737-800W 34,000
737-700W 37,000

20,000 lbs difference in MTOW is the difference in OPT ALT.
MAX ALT is typically 1,600-1,800 higher.
