73-8 Fuel Burn

Can anyone give me a typical (CFP) flight plan fuel requirement for a B73-800 for a sector length of 2300nm? Many thanks in advance,

It kind of depends on your load. Full load or a empty leg??

For an average weight, on an average day, at an average speed of approx M.079 it generally averages around 42KG per minute (enough averages in there?).

So work out your flight time and apply 42KG/min.

This is a rule of thumb for non-short distances, full load 800:
Taxi fuel, say 200kg
+
Tripfuel (Kg) = Air distance (Nm) x 6
+
5 % contingency
+
fuel you want to (ideally) land with to cover alternate & final reserve fuel, say 2000kg.

Your example (no wind):
Taxi = 200kg
Tripfuel= 2300 x 6 = 13800kg
Contingency = 690kg
rest= 2000kg
-------------------------------
16690kg

Again, this is a rule of thumb for a gross crosscheck. Never use this for actual planning :-)

Thanks a lot, chaps. I will remember you in my will!! (I would put a few smileys in here, but I cannot work out how to do it!!!)

Could you guys lay out in a typical profile how to plan fuel on the 738 for your company?
