B777-300, B777-300er

can we detect the B777-300 and B777-300ER by looking visually....
If yes kindly let me know.
I am not able to find the difference by looking visually....
both models have 5 doors. and 12 main wheels....
As far as i know i think they differ by only Raked winglets.....300ER has one....

How about the engines, those massive GE90's are substantially bigger than any other engine, should be a clear giveaway

As mentioned the GE90 engines are certainly very large as a visual indicator, but other B777-300's may have the slightly smaller GE series and yet are still large compared to the RR Trent 800.

Have a look at the front of the main undercarriages, you will see a very large diameter actuator connecting the truck to the oleo. the earlier -300 models have a smaller tilt actuator that is almost not noticeable from a distance.

As long as you can recognize a GE90 from a PW4090 and Trent 892 you all set.

Because there are no B773's with GE90 fitted as none of the 8 customers chose to do so.

PLUS-

300ER has the raked wing-tips while the 300 does not-

AND the 300ER has an extra strut on the front of the main bogies, which is the mechanism to lock the gear tilt and allow lift-off rotation around the rear axle ("Semi-levered gear")

ETA I see Tinwacker mentioned the strut, but it is not a titl actuator as such.
