B737-300 Manual Stabiliser Landing question.
 
B737-300 QRH. Runaway Stabiliser mentions using the stab trim manually (after the runaway is countered of course) and complete the normal descent, approach and landing checklists. Normal landing assumes Flap 30 or 40 in my book. In other words there is no significant handling problem when using manual stabiliser trim with normal landing flap.

But another page in the QRH has the heading "Stabiliser Trim Inoperative" and states the condition: "The stabiliser fails to respond to electric trim inputs."

Further down this checklist it states (in part) "If the stabiliser can be trimmed manually...continue to trim manually for the remainder of the flight..establish landing configuration early.

Yet, despite the advice concerning a Runaway Stabiliser where it goes on to say the stabiliser should be trimmed manually and that a normal landing checklist should be completed, there is no similar advice (normal landing) following the QRH Stabiliser Trim Inoperative.

Question: Why did Boeing see fit to advise pilots to conduct a normal landing using manual stab trim in the case of the Runway Stabiliser checklist and omit the same advice when conducting a manual stab trim landing in the case of Stab trim inoperative due failure of electrical trim inputs?

Boeing changes to non-normal checklist philosophy seem to get more obtuse every time a new change appears.
