Hetfield can you give us a little more info on you query?

hetfield 7th Sep 2008 01:46

@tubby linton

With respect to the SPANAIR accident and what MAY have caused it, pushing that little button before take off should be SOP.......

tubby linton 7th Sep 2008 15:59

It certainly is in my company on all the airbus(airbi?) types.

hetfield 7th Sep 2008 16:14

o.k.,

so actual score is 3:1
:hmm:

aguadalte 9th Sep 2008 21:21

Yes per SOPs from the A310 to the A320/19/21 and A330/340.:ok:

Double Hydco 10th Sep 2008 09:38

Yes, used to use it on the A300B4 as SOP, and now on the A320. Can't think of a reason you wouldn't use it?

Cheers, DH

On our A300-600 we do the check before every TO......

bobrun 14th Sep 2008 01:52

yes, we press it before every departure. But even if you don't, the same "test" will be perform automatically when the pilot applies take-off power.

Yes but I'm afraid the t/o warning may fail (SPANAIR?)

If the test via button fails you know something is wrong.
