B757 fuel comsuption

Does anybody have numbers on B757 fuel comsuption??

oceancrosser 9th Jul 2008 16:23

about 3400-3700 kgs pr hr depending on weight for the 757 with winglets. Add 100-150 per hour without.

Depends on the engines.

I don't have numbers in Kilos, but...

For a Pratt and Whitney powered 757-200:
average around 3,000 pounds per hour per engine. As little as 2,800 pounds per hour when light. As much as 3,400 pounds per hour when heavy.

For a Rolls Royce powered 757-200:
average around 3,700 pounds per hour. When really heavy, around 4,400 pounds per hour. When really light (ferry flight), around 3,200 pounds per hour.

Rolls burn is much greater, flying at the same mach number (usually mach 0.80)

Which RB211 you talking about?
There is about 500lbs/hr/engine greater burn on the C over the E4.
(We used to have both)

I'm referring to the E4. Never flown a C so I don't know anything about that.

Was RR that much worse than P&W 15 years ago? Nowadays, I was under the impression the difference was more in the 5% range.
