A330 at EGNT...possible?

Hi!
Monarch is flying with their A330 NCL-CUN non-stop with 378 pax!!!
with a quick calculation i saw that the plane must be at it's MTOM...
How is that possible?
Runway is 2329 m ???!! Many of the pilots i know almost don't dare to takeoff
from a 2500 m runway with an A330... kamikaze pilots :E

EDIT: If you guys wonder why i always ask this kind of questions it's because
im doing my own project around this...

thanks!

Have taken off from EGNT in A330 direct east coast USA

Flight might be advertised as direct, but not the same as non-stop, can re-fuel in EGCC, KBGR etc etc

try airbus site

Hi Robini

Airbus provide the same level of support as Boeing but with rather more accessibility.

I have worked for both "A" and "B" and while we don't like to be snowed under we do appreciate interested parties and prepare for such enquiries by having packaged material - pdfs and such.

Pprune is a delightful but unofficial and anonymous net but really, hand on heart, it is not really where you should be researching some kind of project.

Always go to the horse's mouth and get attributable facts. What some guy or gal said on a forum just will not stand up. Airbus do require a formal vetting/bona fides before they part company with anything more detailed than a brochure. Boeing are more open. If you can't get info out of "A" look at competitive designs on http://www.boeing.com/commercial/air...n_manuals.html

That's a lot better than asking for opinions and having to choose which answer you like best. There are some pretty darn good wind up merchants here!

Best of luck but if it is B737, B767, B744 or A319 you happen to be interested in, drop me a pm and I will do my level best. I know some classic B777 details but that is another story.

EK fly 330s out of NCL to DXB. It is a non-event.

Robini,

Please get your facts right before posting. Our A330's are in a 358 config instead of your mentioned 378! This has changed two years ago.

Flight does operate non-stop to POP.

And as other have already mentioned it is a complete non-event.

We operate SFB, POP and have operated Cuba out of EGNT for several years now and had no problems at all.

So for your kamikaze pilots remark :mad::ugh:

Then the flıght cant be at ıts MTOM...
If there wıll be no cargo the flıght may not be at ıts MTOM...
BTW Emırates has only 278 pax ın theır A330...almost nothıng at all:E

EDIT: just saw that the flıght to POP are only not even 6900 km!
You are not at your MTOM...(Guessıng strongly that thıs flıght dont have
any cargo ın that route)

Then the mısterıum ıs solved :E

Robini 19th Jun 2008 18:36

Sıttıng ın Tureky now so ı dont have much tıme...

NCL-POP

Say fuel 62 tonnes

pax wıll be 35 tonnes

empty weıght ıs 125 tonnes

TOM: 222 tonnes but say 224-225 tonnes wıth food etc...

I guess the FCOM would tell you that that operatıon would be OK
