Ordinary computer headset in jet cockpit
 

I'm looking at the plantronic series of aviation headset and they by the looks they are the same as their computer headsets. So I'm thinking... is it possible to use any (good quality) computer headset in cocpit? Just using adapaptors on the plugs that is.

Had to do it once when the old Telex went kaput.
Worked just fine, sound only on one side though.
