Overhead minimum fuel
 

Hi!

From some time our CFP's (generated by Sabre) add a figure called OHMN to our min. reqd fuel for the leg. Our OPS manual states that this stands for "minimum fuel overhead dest", with no further explanation. Anyone care to explain what's that?

Just guessing here, but I think it means fuel overhead the aerodrome at 1500 ft AGL, without any Instrument app. flown at the destination. Not sure weather you work for a JAA operator or not, but I've seen this term once on a flight from CDG to Atar, Mauritania (GQPA), and the Operational Flight Plan stated:Overhead Fuel at dest.: x kg. Of course the destination is a VFR airport and most likely the company will issue a decent uplift on your regular minimum fuel above the standard.
