B737-200 Incident

Hello,

I'm looking for technical feedback on the following incident:

I was flying down to Juba (south Sudan) with a local carrier when all of a sudden the A/C (B737-200) started to experience strong vibrations up to the point that the captain decided to divert back to our point of departure, Khartoum.

Unable to secure information from the air carrier side...the a/c was down for maintenance the all day after.

Any feedback on what might have triggered this level of vibration and inherent consequences if...would be very much appreciated.

Thanks.

A difficult one - missing panel, engine damage or partial reverser deployment are the only ones I can think of straight-away for a sudden change.

once we felt a constant & nasty vibration, a few minutes later the "CSD low oil pressure" light illuminated. the captain didnīt wait for the checklist and expeditiously disconnected it...right after that no more vibration...the CSD was "autodestroying" and that caused a heck of a vibration..
A hydraulic pump partially closed could make a whole airplane shake as well...
Hope it helps,
SW.
