Landing Gear down 2 mins after takeoff?

I witnessed recently a QF A330 and 743 depart with their gears down until about 2 mins after rotation. can someone provide an explanation as to why this is so?

Possibly transit aircraft with hot brakes. SOP, delay gear retraction for brake cooling.

If one of the wheels has an anti-skid fault it may have the brake de-activated, the retraction is delayed to allow the wheel to stop rotating before retraction.
SOP on the Airbus, Boeing not sure, never have had the pleasure?? of that type

:ok:

Allowing brakes to cool to to them being hot or an MEL requiring them to be down to cool.;)

If you are referring to the Airbus you are wrong.
