Airbus side stick

I am puzzled as to how the side stick on the airbus works, could some possibly shed some light on the matter?
Also whats it like to fly with? (manually)

It is very natural, sensitive and responses are precise.

The design is with no feed-back, it is spring loaded to neutral with sort of logarithmic force-to-displace.

Both sidesticks work independetly and with AP on, it is locked in neutral position, but you can still instinctiveliy force it out of the lock, which disconnects the AP.

The stick displacement inputs are send to flight controls by various FBW computers. Normally pitch input is interpreted as a g-load demand and roll input as roll-rate command.

You will find lots of useful (albeit not always 100% correct) elswere in the tech log part of the site.

For instance, here.
