Brake Temperature
 

Hello;

On the ECAM brake page (Airbus) you have three levels of brake temperature. Green, amber and red. Could you please tell me the actual brake temperature these warnings refer to?

Hi,
The green arc appears over the hottest wheel when one brake temp exceeds 100C.
The amber indication, and master caution appears at 300C.
Not exactly sure when the red appears, but think it's either 600 or 900C.

Airbus Brake temperatur indications A319/320
- is normally green
- green arc apperars on the hottest wheel when one brake temperatur exeeds 100° C.
- green arc becomes amber, and associated ECAM caution appears, when the corresponding brake temperature exceeds 300° C.
Airbus Brake temperatur indications A321
- is normally green
- green arc apperars on the hottest wheel when one brake temperatur exeeds 100° C.
- green arc becomes amber, and associated ECAM caution appears, when the corresponding brake temperature exceeds 260° C.
Airbus Brake temperatur indications A300/310
- is normally green
- green circle apperars around the number of the hottest wheel when one brake temperatur exeeds 100° C.
- green circle becomes amber when temperatur exeeds 300° C.
- Indication becomes amber, associated with ECAM warning, when the corresponding brake temperature exceeds 300° C.
Airbus Brake temperatur indications A340
- is normally green
- green arc apperars on the hottest wheel when one brake temperatur exeeds 100° C.
- green arc becomes amber when temperatur exeeds 300° C.
- Indication becomes amber, associated with ECAM warning, when the corresponding brake temperature exceeds 300° C.
No RED temperature indication on the above mentioned A/Cs.
