LIDO flight NAV manual (SWISS version)
Can anybody help out with the following?
Have managed to nab an old copy, this is the SWISS version. So with that in mind can I ask: The LDA on some of the airports has a G_ like this, what does it mean? The lights info has HL/HL or -?HL etc, any ideas? The alternate info has things like (N) and (F) and (H) next to the airports, again any ideas? Thanks for helping out an inquisitive mind! |
Lyka,
I have used this manuals for almost three years, albeit by that time they were published by swissair flight support. I don't think they changed much after the new company emerged.. So, here we go: G letter: Were is this letter located? On the airport diagram? If the G is located over the runway drawing it means that the rwy is grooved. Light info: H -> high intensity L -> low intensity M -> medium intensity HL -> high/low intensity For APP Light, you can have some letter to identify the type of app light i.e. HL-A (high/low intensity - type A) Then you have to refer to a code/decode table, it was this way: Non-US standard A - Icao standard CAT 2/3 (lights have "tree" format" B - Icao standard CAT 2/3 C - Distance coded centre line (calvert) D - Barrette centre line E - Single row F - Parallel row US Standard G - Icao standard CAT 2/3 (similar do letter B) H - Barrette centre line I - Single row K - Single row (430m) L - Single row (460m) Alternate info... Where have you seen this written on? Please confirm so I can check here Cheers Salz |
