Hello everybody...
Any Idea which a/c uses a spring tab for elavator or airleron control???
Just curios...

Thanks Micky

I think that the old Bristol Freighter (a monumentally ugly British heavy transport from the 1940s) did for aileron control.

If you 'Google' you will see the OV10, F27 and an airship for starters

My old text book "Mechanics of Flight" has a picture of a Bristol Freighter tail and declares the lower rudder tab is a spring tab.
The Lockheed Electra (L188) also had a variation of a spring tab on each elevator.
Genghis, when the RNZAF retired the last Bristol Freighter the pilot declared, after the last landing, it was like flying a low rise block of flats from the upstairs toilet however I never knew a block of flats to vibrate as much as the old Bristol Vibrator!

Hi,

Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm sure the Embraer 145 uses a spring tap on the Elevator.

Regards.

Dash 8 300 has elevator spring tabs.
