717-200 takeoff performance
Can anyone with the Boeing 717 performance programme give a takeoff runway length figure for 40oC day (std + 25oC), given no engine airbleed, nil wind, flat and dry runway, no obstacles, 51710kgs TOW (=MTOW for the Australian registered models)?
In Dunnunda and Godzone, the current speculation is about the likely performance of the Jetstar 717-200's as they encounter the heat, dust and flies of the WA Outback - especially the heat ! We've got some ISA and ISA+15oC figures - now we need ISA+25oC to see what summer will bring. Thanks in advance. |
B717 Hmm!?
G'day from the enicalyth.
I saw that Quantas Airlink were about to phase out in BAe146 in favour of the B717. Not many of the latter have been sold and it does struggle a bit although it does have a bigger wing than the Diesel Nine and more poke in the engines. Try http://www.boeing.com/assocproducts/aircompat/717.htm I have found these Boeing pdfs to be pretty reasonable but they are nowhere near as rigorous as the Boeing Laptop Tool. (Probably no BLT for the 717). I was in Kalgoorlie on election day... BAe146 on the flight in and a B737-400 on the way out... all from/to Perth. Big changes at Kally these days, eh? Had a glass of yellow liquid with bubbles in it in the York Hotel. No change there. |
enicalyth,
The airport planning document on the Boeing site doesnt have the requested temperature of ISA+25°C. Mutt. |
coo neither it does
Just a thought. (Always RTFQ). Try Lee Monson in the Boeing phonebook. He'll know a man who does even after being elevated.
I meant to put this into the B717-200 thread but sheer incompetence at pressing buttons led to this... .. if I didn't do it right .. email me and I'll try again .. |
