Dear Friends of U.S.Read:

We are finally releasing our major update on Flight 587.

Today's release includes our Summary/Probable Cause findings and Part 1 of our multi-part update (the full report). We aim to release each subsequent part on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. We decided not to release the report as one large document because we felt readers would tire of it quickly.

Thanks to our experts for their continued assistance and support, and thanks to the readers and the families of the victims who, with their kind words of appreciation, encourage us to keep at it.

And a special thanks to Brett Hoffstadt who was a major force behind us getting this report done. We long struggled with the content and tone. We also wrestled with whether or not to release this information now, or wait for the NTSB’s Final Report.
