Fuel flow trivia question.
Two identical turbojets are at the same altitude and same speed and have the same specific fuel consumption. Plane 1 weighs 130,000kg and the fuel flow is 4,300kg/hr. If plane 2 weighs 115,000kg, what is the fuel flow?
:8 :ugh: |
hmmm.....3804kg/hr?
|
I agree.
(115000/130000) x 4300 = 3804kg/hr |
This is a JAA question which originated in France and has suffered slightly in translation. It was discussed on wannabees a few months ago, about half way down the page.

Yep, that's the correct answer!
Sorry, I did not know it had been here before. One of my mates sent it to me and I thought it was a good one. |
