Construction Methods

Hi there,. .. .Does anyone know where i might be able to find information on the methods and materials used in the construction of the B1-b? In particular the assembly of the main frames and joints between subsections?. .. .Failing that, similar information on any Boeing series aircraft?. .. .Thankyou. .CC. .. .(Sometimes i wish i had never chosen an Aero Eng degree <img border="0" title="" alt="[Roll Eyes]" src="rolleyes.gif" /> )

CC,. .. .A good start would be a book called "Composite Airframe Structures" by Michael Niu. I remember see a photo in it of the techs placing the cold soaked pivot pin in place to hold the wing on a B1B.. .. .For more standard Al construction, "Analysis and Design of Flight Vehicle Structures" by E. F. Bruhn will give you most of the standard analysis techniques used for fastners. It lacks some detail design info for rivits, but is considered a bible for many aircraft structural designers.. .. .Regards. .. .Z
