For those of you that can get hold of it I would highly recommend reading the latest issue of Boeing's own magazine "Aero issue 12"
It contains a fantastic acticle on using Angle of Attack on airliners as a flight referencing instument. Facinating stuff! I'd post it in Tech Log if I only had a scanner. Perhaps someone else out there could scan in a copy for the benefit of all? |
Yeah, most of the articles in Boeing Aero, or Airliner as they used to call it make pretty educational reading.
You can view them online, in both HTML and PDF format. I suggest the PDF version if you can, as it contains an exact copy of the original article, including all of the drawings/ illustrations. For this article, goto http://www.boeing.com/commercial/aer...ack_story.html fort the HTML version, or http://www.boeing.com/commercial/aer...ero_12/aoa.pdf for the PDF version. Enjoy ;) [This message has been edited by Compton (edited 01 October 2000).] |
Thanks! - It's amazing what you can find out there! Much appreciated.
