PW GTF Alternative Climb Thrust A320NEO

I wonder if anyone is familiar with the PW geared turbofan alternative climb thrust engine model. What is the performance definition and is it used in practice? What are the benefits I wonder.
Also, does the NEO has significantly better takeoff run and/or second segment climb profile than the CEO?
Appreciate the help.

PW1100G-JM engine has an optional mod which if installed uses from thrust reduction altitude only 93% MAX CLB thrust upto 25000ft and then linearly increases to 100% from 25000ft to 31000ft. Pilot action remains same to bring the THR levers to CLB and he cannot alter this profile.
