Pisa 04L/R Departure
Hello,
Pisa published NOTAM about 04 L/R Departure procedure for 2 years and inserted it in AIP last month
If analyze, AECG of ~ 35% is required to satisfy such constraint (1600' at 2 DME)
Please, your thoughts about legitimacy and comparability of these requirements and NADP

Looking at the airport diagram it looks like most would be airborne about 4000' from the VOR, so you would have 8000' to climb to 1600', so 20% required. Also if unable, inform ATC makes it legitimate IMHO.

Pretty simple. Follow Noise ~Abatement. NAPD1. CLimb at V2+10 or so to 1,600ft, select climb power and carry on climbing to 3,000ft then accelerate and clean up. It's in the AOI that they usually give you 22L for departure anyway if there's no inbounds due to noise abatement. They'll certainly hold you for a few inbounds to give you that and you only usually get 04R if there's a constant stream of inbounds, which is not that often I believe. Mind you I only go every now and then, but it's been like that every time for me, including this week when I went.

Thank you.
Of course we gave the recomendations and calculations for our pilots with allowance made for our more than 3 hrs flights, but the essential question is legitimacy of 35% constraint and necessity of NADP

The airport makes the rules. They could outlaw any 04 departures, couldn't they?
You advise ATC if you can't make the climb gradient and they will put you on a 22 departure.
What's illegitimate about that?
