B737 late goaround
Just read the SQ report at MUN.
B737ng, in theory with reverse thrust not selected you can still touch down, apply max thrust, sod levers down, wait 3secs for auto brakes to cancel and off you go??
rotate at 15degrees with spd above vref In the window

Pin Head is probably referring to this report:

(avherald: Incident: Singapore B773 at Munich on Nov 3rd 2011, runway excursion)

Yes, once the thrust levers come are advanced from idle the auto speed brake retracts and the autobrake disengages. The autotrottle should remain armed (obviously if you haven’t disconnected during the approach) however 2 seconds at idle once on the ground is the point where it should disconnect itself. Press TOGA and rotate as normal when accelerating through VREF. Call for flaps 15 and away you go. Works a treat

Ok..
Thought it was 3 secs before the auto brakes kicks out?
Can you take flaps 15 in the transition i.e. Gnd to air, any issue with flap retraction on climb rate in the initial climb away?

Of course you can go around after touchdown prior to reverser deployment, its simple, all you do is advance the thrust, you don't need max (dependent on runway length I suppose) and call "go around flap 15". PM retracts to flap 15 and you rotate normally very soon thereafter as you pass your Vapp. Job done.

I've personally witness a very smart training captain call rotate way pass V1.
Why ?
Well the newbie on the right hand seat yank the plane off the runway and went straight to 18 degrees as commanded by FD.
Did we get tail trike ? Nope..... the moment the right seat warmer yank back on the yoke, the plane jump into sky right away.

Vref Flaps 30 (and Vref Flaps 40+5) = V2 Flaps 15
In case of a rejected landing, just press TOGA, call "Go-Around Flaps 15 - Set Go-Around Thrust", select Flaps 15 (Pilot Monitoring) and rotate SLOWLY (to avoid a tailstrike) at Vref 30/40.
Aim for 14-15° Attitude and follow standard go-around procedures.
You can refer to the Touch and Go procedures in the FCTM: "At Vref 30/40 call "ROTATE""

TOGA disconnect with weight on wheels as you are now in land. Look at the 777 crash at Dubai. As shown, once there is weight on wheels, pressing TOGA has no effect, AT does not advance. Its all manual now.

You are correct......FFS, a go around is push the levers forward, not wait for the automation. Or were you trained differently?
