A320's sometimes roll at selection on CONF 2
For Anybody Who Knows:
I have been flying the A320 for years and have many times experienced a slight, quick roll to the left at selection of CONF 2. I have also been told that it is a known issue and is addressed in the manuals. I cannot, however, find it anywhere. A free gold star to anybody that can enlighten me.

afaik it is kind of addressed in a note under FLAPS 2.......SELECT in FCOM-PRO-NOR-Approach-Aircraft Configuration Management-Intermediate/Final Approach
- When the speed brakes are deployed, extending the flaps beyond FLAPS 1 may induce a slight roll movement, and in calm conditions a small lateral control asymmetry may remain until disturbed by a control input or by an atmospheric disturbance.

Seriously though, I appreciate you finding that. It has been driving me crazy. I don't suppose you know whether or not it is a software issue?

Be careful with the speed brake on the A320, pretty sure the 319/21 are different.
I saw this first hand with a new FO many years back, CONF2 and Full speed brake applied, then A/P disconnects and you are caught out.
Someone might be able to confirm, A319/A321 full speed brake applied with A/P is exactly that, full speed brake applied? In other words no nasty surprises if you disconnect like the A320?

It was in the manual at my old EASA (but non-EU) carrier.
Wheels down, not yet flown an A321, but definitely the case between the A319 and A320 IME.
