What do you expect to be the selling price of one machine, including all recurring and non-recurring costs?

OC, What is the length of a piece of string? I am not being sarcastic but you have to be specific. Our company is actually more interested in charter costs. As these aircraft are still in the design stage I don't think any potential operators can even answer this yet.

My question is very simple: If I want to buy, what is the price of a blimp?

Airbus wouldn't be in business today if they couldn't answer that immediately. I know.

This all seems very vague and unprofessional. Maybe you'd care to fill in the missing numbers:

A320 development cost USD 5 billion (my estimate) sold 5000 (exc 318/319/321). Development cost per unit USD 1 million.

Airship development cost USD 1 billion ? (my estimate) market 50 ? (my estimate). Development cost per unit USD 20 million.

Plus the jet is 10 times more productive. Wake up before you lose your money.

P.S. do you need someone with 35 years experience in air transport economics? PM me.

How about backing into the numbers?

How much would people pay for five days floating over Africa? How many people would pay that amount? What do tierra firma safaris cost, as an example of what the market will bear?

What are the other fixed and variable costs?

The money left over could rent or buy the ship.

I am afraid that PPRuNe rules do not allow me to point you to our Africa operation web site. We specialise in luxury safaris in Botswana. I do not believe there will be a problem with cost. Some of the top camps are $1,000 a night per person all inclusive high season. Just Google 'Safari Holidays Botswana' for an idea.
