A321 Hot Air Valve

Interesting failure the other day.
On T/O Ecam "Cond Hot air fault
Ecam Actions switch it off. Complete

But On Ecam Valve and line to reg valves Amber with valve still showing amber open

But no Fault lgt in o/head Hot Air Valve. (OFF showing only)

About 2 mins later excessive Noise (very difficult to hear R/T & had to really shout to communicate with the other pilot even with intercom.) Plus Cabin filed with vapour (Condensation)

After some diagnostic stuff e.g has the ram air come open DV's etc the noise reduced and eventually got back to normal Climb continued and no further problems.( controlling the cabin temp ok but a little agricultural)

The Hot Air Valve eventually showed closed( but still the line & valve amber) about an hour later.

So what was going on. I know the hot air valve fault lgt in the switch is for an overheat BUT my books also say for a switch/valve disagreement.

& what was all that aircon noise about, with all other systems normal.
Finaly does anyone know where the temp sensor probes are located for the trim air valves as we could still vary them despite the hotair trim valves being closed.
