Photos of static port dams?

I'm looking for a digital photo of a static port dam to illustrate an article I'm writing about static system position error (static port dam = a dam like surface placed near a static port intended to change the airflow pattern and hence affect the pressure sensed at the static port). Does anyone have one in their collection that I might use?

I've seen a couple of static port dams over the years, but can't recall on which types they were fitted. I would appreciate it if someone could tell me any aircraft types that may have static port dams. I could then look for a web forum for that aircraft type and perhaps find someone with an image I could use.

Thanks.

Have a look at any Panavia Tornado side photos you can find, in front of the three fuselage static vents there is the item you mention.

Thanks for the pointer. Finding a closeup image is a trick though.

I looked in my S-76 helicopter manual but the photo is a very poor quality B&W. See if you have one resident near by to get your own snap.

Tornado detail photos

You may find something of interest searching some of the image collections put on the web by modellers; the secret seems to be the keyword "walkaround". There's quite a lot here:

Photos - cannot attach

I have some photos - Navy planes on display at the USS Midway in San Diego. Also one aircraft w/o static dam (KC135 I believe).

But could not attach.

I know the Twin Otter and NA Sabreliner also had dams.

Correct static pressure - still a problem.

Thanks for the Google pointer. I was struggling to find the right search terms.
