FAA STC'ed equipment in EASA aircraft

I understand that EASA and the FAA where due to come up with a bilateral agreement where both will accept the others STC'ed equipment. I found a document from 2007 saying this was going to happen and wondered if it ever did.

Did a B777 lease last year (2007) from FAA to EASA, and no the STC's all had to be read and approved by EASA as stand alone documents, even though they were already installed as approved by the FAA.
