Dynon in a C172

I'm building an RV-9A from Van's aircraft and am planning on putting in a Dynon EFIS-D10A:

I really like this dude. Are the any restrictions about putting one of these into my Cessna 172?

The Dynon is a good product by a good company, but it is not certified. So I guess you could put one in a certified aircraft, but it would not count as an attitude indicator or anything else.

It is not certified so cannot be installed without an STC or a form 337 signoff from the FAA. So the chances are very remote.

Aspen Avionics are certified so would be a good choice for a C172
