Using ADSB and FLARM at the same time
Interested to note a US registered SR-22 with ADSB heading east across Kent at 9000' this afternoon apparently with an unidentified glider in echelon starboard using FLARM, both doing nearly 190kts! I actually did see the SR-22 zipping over my head, no glider in tow! I assume that the aircraft is actually broadcasting with both systems; is this sensible, how do ATC see the returns, separately as I did?

I don't think ATC sees FLARM at all... |
ADS-B and FLARM fulfill different purposes. FLARM is a collision avoidance system and ADS-B is for ATC purposes (although almost exclusively used in the US only). In Europe, almost no ATC sees ADS-B targets.

OK, thanks folks!
