Feel slightly embarrassed, but anyway:

Friend flying to San Francisco on Thursday en route to Sydney, leaving LHR at approx 14:40, flying United. He will be reigniting an acquaintance with a former female colleague and is looking forward to the trip.

Is there any way of making his trip more interesting (apart from throwing hot coffee in his lap or sending his luggage to Brisbane)?

All help gratefully received, and there is a drink in it for you.
