Texas Man Jumps out of an Airplane 500 Times
(Fort Worth, Texas-AP) -- Imagine jumping out of an airplane over and over and over.

That's what Mike Zang of Lewisville, Texas did yesterday, making 500 skydives in all over a 24-hour period.

Zang says that's a new world record. He says the previous record was 476 jumps in one day.

Zang averaged one 21-hundred-foot jump every three minutes.

It wasn't easy. One of the two planes he planned to use broke down, and Zang almost was foiled by lightning and heavy rain.

He also had to contend with a banged-up knee and leg from earlier jumps.

Why.....?

Easy, he had a "bungee!!"
