R/T Blunders

Overheard last night a Channex aircreft inbound to LGW. Lady ATC instructed "route Holly Willo for 26 left". The reply was Hollow Willy for 26!! At least she laughed.
Anymore good ones?

That was a good one? ;)

Try GICASI's thread on the Miltary Pilots Forum 'I Wish I Hadn't Said That'

Hmm, I have to admit that I've got tongue tied and said 'sex' instead of six before in my callsign !!!

Have a look for the thread called "Interesting radio call" on Dunnunda and Godzone.

In AMS last week. Virgin 747 and KLM aircraft on converging taxiways.

ATC: "KLM XXX, The Virgin is waiting for you."

So is it "foo-kay", or "f*ck-it"? It happened.

Reportedly said at EGCC, XXX123 you are cleared on a "Connoly 1 Yankee"!

Reminds me of a tale told to me by a police mate.
After a crime is reported/attended the beat-bobby would often call for the forensic people to attend to look for fingerprints, photo the scene etc. These are called 'Scenes of Crime Officers' or S.O.C.O. [pron 'socko'] for short.
There was a WPC who would always get it wrong and ask for things like 'Can you ask Signs of Cream to attend please... err I mean Screams of sign... err no.. err oh just send SOCO please'.
Much hilarity over this at the station and increasingly surreal imaginary scenarios over the following days about sending the 'Police Cat' to detect the 'cream'. Unfortunately it backfired on much of the local force as many totally lost the ability to say 'Scenes of Crime Officer' and would unintentionally create some new bizarre spoonerism out of it. Now everyone just asks for 'SOCO'
