Well done Ellen!

Just thought I'd give Ellen MacArthur a mention. She deserves a gong for coming second in the Vendee Globe round the world yacht race. 24000 miles single handed. I'm impressed.

Nice to see somebody featuring on the news for all the right reasons!

Slightly miffed that the French are making more fuss of her than we are

For me, what she said at her press conference struck a chord

The most important message I have is that if you have a dream you can make it happen.
That's why my bank manager and I are going to have yet another meeting to try and figure out a way to pay for an ATPL

Way to go Ellen. Dejoyeaux was 1200 km in front at one point, and she caught and passed him for the lead. Congratulations!

Possible would have been first if she hadn't stopped to help another boat in trouble :)

I'll drink to her
(I'll drink to anything though ;))

Nicest compliment to her I've read so far is from Desjoyeaux who says he's not sure what he did with those extra ten years of his life. Smooth Frenchie!

Best not to stress her youth anymore. She's proved that she is really grown up.
