Where to renew an IR

Can anyone reccommend somewhere to renew an IR? Preferably in Scotland but anywhere else in UK would be good too. It would be helpful (ie cheaper) if as much as possible could be done in a sim.

Thanks

You'll not be surprised to hear that this has been asked a few times.

Try 'Search' at the top of the page.

lowflyer, it seems that there is a law on not asking the same question twice according to some sad sacks. Fuggem.

My (utterly biased) advice is to go to Bristol Flight Centre - miles from Scotland I know, but as good as IR training comes.

In the past I have always found SFT at Bournemouth good. Great training and loads of different routes and approaches. Again miles from Scotland.

Thanks AB, someone else reccommended Bristol to me. I'll probably go for it. Thanks to DD as well - Bristol's marginally easier to get to.

Tayflight at Perth.

I converted my foreign licences with them and was entirely happy with them.

The owner, Les, is a nice bloke.

Haven't got their number on me. Sorry.
