Step Cruise or Step Climb ?

A questions:

I was used to the term "step climb" till today. Now I read a manufacturer´s document and stumbled across the expression "step cruise"

Are these two used synonymously? Or is there a difference in the use of the words? Which one would be the "correct" technical term?
