Hi all when I visited BOH the Titan 737 landed and I was wondering why is it based at BOH is it used for passager service or cargo?

And Palmair only has one 737-200 in the fleet now wonder if another one will join them soon

Hi James,
Titans G-ZAPW is based here because she operates cargo flights - she departs Bournemouth at 10:40PM Mon>Fri enroute to EastMidlands, she then arrives back at Bournemouth in the early hours (around 1:30am).
She then does charters for airlines such as Monarch, Easyjet and British Airways in the day acasionally.
Palmair sometimes uses either G-CEAE or G-CEAH when they need to, but when not needed they too do their own charters.

Thank you for info. G-CEAF Was in Full Palmair livery once now she only has Palmair titles on the Tail any ideas? and what cargo does G-ZAPW carry?

She didn't fly for Palmair for a long time, and was doing other charters.

G-ZAPW, I have no idea on what cargo it carries.

Royal Mail

Titan B737 is often used by Thomsonfly when their own aircraft are tech, Titan now has a full crew base there and the aircraft has a QC (Quick change) facility at the airport to speed up the extraction of the seats for cargo flights.

G-BPNT did virtually the same routes and the European 732 with exception of TFS and the rest of the canaries !

CL44 News
 

Does any one know much about the CL44 that has been at Bournemouth for some time
We understand it went into the BASCO hangar recently and has been worked on with engine runs.
Any ideas where it might be heading for if it is being worked on with engines running hopefully this is for a new home they must need some crews for it hopefully.:ok:

Reply to some of Manston Airport flighttracking queries

The Aurigny flights are as follows

Jersey to Bournemouth AUR612 mail flight operates five nights a week ETA approx 2010

The AUR615P would be a positioning flight back into Bournemouth to operate the early morning mail flight to Jersey which departs approx 0450.

The other flight out of Bournemouth looks like after unloading the Jersey inbound mail it does another mail flight up to Belfast.

Hope this helps clear some things up for you.

WHAT will be the outcome if Bournemouth Airport get sold by Manchester Group.

The AUR613 flight I understood was another mail connected flight the aircraft positions to Jersey to Edinbourgh in the evening during the week and comes in from Bournemouth at 0700 the next morning where it goes from Edinbourgh I do not know but it ends up at Bournemouth before comming to Jersey.

I understand there is a lot of contract work up for renewal as of the bigging of the year, who knows what might happen but Aurigny ATR42s might have some say in the matter.

Could be interesting times ahead in the new year on how and who might be operating the mail papers and freight contracts from Bournemouth in the new year??:ok: :ok:

Believe the Cl-44 has been refused permission to fly by, not sure if by the caa or impounded by airport but it ain't going anywhere soon.

God only knows why the website is out of date but most employees would say it's indicative of often shoddy management that the airport has been cursed with for years.

swingtail, source is reliable, as of friday night the aircraft is still not allowed to move,honestly don't know any more than that.

cuz the aircraft has leaked oil and kerosene all over the BASCO ramp and no-one is offering to pay for damages. aircraft was never allowed to park on main bournemouth taxiways or apron as it was leaking... BASCO agreed to allow them the use of part of their ramp.

I understand that this aircraft was the subject of a Direction to prevent flying issued by the CAA back in 2003. While this Direction had not been revoked it quoted the previous registration number. I am told that the Direction has been reissued under the new registration number to clarify the situation.

How sure is it about the CL-44
 

How sure is it that the CL-44 has been grounded by the CAA.
I am a real CL44 fan and about to drive up to BOH from Holland, except if the whole show is cancellend FOR SURE....

What a shame would that be.

Anyone know the schedule for the flying of this one at Bmth. Ive seen it flying, but would like to be around at the airfield at the time, to get a few pics of her. I beleive the guy takes her out once a month or so, usually a saturday. Just wondering if anyone knows any more info on timings etc?

Whilst at Bournemouth on Saturday I heard there's a chance it could fly this weekend (31st). Naturally this all depends on weather/serviceability/pilot etc.

On the way past Bournemouth International about 5pmish I am sure I saw a DC8 presumably shooting an ILS on 08 and going around, can anyone confirm this otherwise I think I will have to spend more time in the Curlew if I am seeing things.
