Tu-144 & Concorde
Just out of curiosity, has there been anyone who has flown/flown on both a Tu-144 and a Concorde?
Has there been any ‘real world’ comparison, other than ‘tech spec shoot outs’ across both types? JAS |

Tupolevs Website (well worth a visit anyway) has an interesting and candid article reagrding your second question... (Has there been any ‘real world’ comparison, other than ‘tech spec shoot outs’ across both types?) |

Aviate 1138 there was a documentary in the series "Secret History" (Ch4 or BBC2 - I forget) that documents the lead up to the Paris Airshow crash - very revealing indeed! |
Yes the tupolev went beyond prototype. It was briefly used for scheduled service between moscow and siberia (novosibirsk ? not sure). The rare travellers say it was unconfortable and noisy. Having accomplished the demonstration role it was quickly retired.
