ELECTRICAL FAULT GROUNDS MONARCH PLANE

ELECTRICAL FAULT GROUNDS MONARCH PLANE

Monarch was forced to ground one of its planes in Gibraltar yesterday (Sunday) after an electrical fault was discovered in the cockpit.
The airline had to make alternative arrangements for 133 passengers booked on the morning flight from Gibraltar to Manchester.
“The problem became apparent when the aircraft was taxiing after landing [in Gibraltar] and was confined to the cockpit area,” said a UK-based spokesman for the company.:confused:
Engineers travelled to Gibraltar from the UK yesterday to investigate and fix the problem on the aircraft, an Airbus A320.
The incident occurred on what should have been one of the last Monarch flights from Gibraltar to Manchester.
The company announced earlier this year that it would cease the service as from July 19. :{
