What and where?
Any ideas as to identity of this machine?
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1.../199200000.jpg It was taken in the early 1990's, possibly 1992 on a family holiday in Norfolk, though I am not sure where in Norfolk. Rick |
In case Ghengis the Engineer (i/c Test Pilots forum) doesn't read this forum, PM him cos he'll probably know. Thruster springs to my mind...

Somebody call?
Looks like a Micro Air New Zealand B22S Bantam, with the rear fuselage enclosure missing: http://www.microaviationsa.co.za/DSC_9280.JPG The bubble canopy, tail skid, and overhead flap lever are particularly distinctive IMHO. I think that the type was approved in the UK in the mid 1990s, so if that was taken in 1990-92, particularly given it's not in the UK mod state (no rear fuselage enclosure, cables instead of struts on the upper tailplane bracing..., is that a Rotax 503 on there? - compared to the 582 used on the half dozen sold into the UK market) I'd guess that it was a visiting foreign example - maybe on a sales tour? Interesting photo. G |
Thanks alot Genghis, it looks about right. You could see why I was stuck with it couldn't you!

Certainly not a commonly seen aeroplane anywhere outside New Zealand!
