aviation films

hey guys,

really need some help on getting hold of these two films,

Mercy Mission: The Rescue
of Flight 771 (1993)

Final descent (1997)

mercy flight i have seen before about the ANZ flight helping the lost cessna over the pacific. final descent has been recommended to me so really want to watch it, cant find it any where though!

aviation films are usually big goofs especially when take off is a 737 and then landing is a 747, what do they take people for?!

Mercy Mission is okay but the cabin scenes are hokey. The NZ aircraft for the film is a 767-300 despite the fact that the actual NZ plane was a DC-10-30. Robert Loggia(an American while his FO is NZ or Australian) plays the NZ pilot in command.

Think you'll find it was a Cessna 188 AgWagon, Sultan... mind you, it's years since I saw the film...

I will accept your observation that it may have been a Cessna Ag'plane, my rant is aimed at the news reporters who believe all aircraft smaller than a Boeing 747 are Cessnas.
It happened here in the same week, an article with a picture of an upturned RV6 continually referred to it as a Cessna.

And it was definitely an RV6.

Oh dear perhaps I went to newspaper reporter school and didn't know it :{

The actual ANZ Captain was Gordon Vette wasn't it? He's relatively well known in aviation circles in NZ primarily for his involvement in the Erebus aftermath.
