nope, sorry alanm....
it is definitely LUKLA in Nepal....
just take any search machine and type LUKLA....
been there, even more impressive than Courchevelle...

Looks like France...but not quite though. The surroundings look a bit different and the buildings also. Maybe my photo is just old and things change.:confused:

Yep, it's Lukla in Nepal

One of the five airports in the world that I want to fly to as a pilot.

There is a video available of a Twotter on takeoff.....give me a few minutes and I'll find it.

So what are the other four then, and how many of them have commercial flights too?

Lukla seems to have several daily flights from Kathmandu.

It's Lukla, you can't quite see the remains of the aircraft that didn't make it on the side of the runway. the 'turnround' apron at the top used to be gravel which required nearly full power to move on. Luckily the Nepaleese 'TSA' have had the good sense not to ban ice axes from the cabin
