Boeing 747400 view from Space!
Having trawled Multimap for the best route to my Aunt Megs house, I accidently stumbled across this fantastic shot of a B747400 over southern england!
Can anyone hazard a guess as to altitude and origin/destination? My first assumption would be outbound Heathrow or Gatwick. 747 |
It's actually a restaurant on the ground, with a bouncy castle in it for off duty crews who are homesick to get back in the air!

Better one is ....
< http://fly.dsc.net/u/Info?id=16133032&google=1&limit=0 > above Binfield, Berks EIDW Runway 10 threshold shows a twin 757/A320? seconds from arrival. < http://fly.dsc.net/u/Info?id=15571&google=1&limit=0 > Use '+' to zoom, 'Satellite' to get image. Hold mouse click to drag image around. Strange double imaging on both. Have fun... :) Aviate 1138 |
If you go by the lat and long, than you come to a location close to the A3 near by Milford, which is situated about 6 miles sout west of Guildford and 18 miles west of Gatwick. So I my guess would be that the a/c is outbound from Gatwick. And if the a/c was on a standard departure (SAM 2M), a/c's altitude would probably be around 4000/5000' depending on the climb clearance.

Check out the big brain on kooyheier! :8

Or you could zoom out and the box tells you it's 20 miles from gatwick between the A3 and the A286! Lat and Long indeed!;)
