My guess is the Jumbo, given the major rudder angle.
Was it an engine out landing for the DLH ? Cheers Lungs <edit> thats assuming its a real pic... |
Don't be fooled - the rudder angle on the Jumbo is to counteract the drag of the 757:p

The 757 is on final for 28L while the 747 is for 28R. The runways are 750 ft apart, so there is still plenty of room between them. Incidentally, Lufthansa 455 is seen here returning to SFO due to an oil leak and eventual shutdown of the number 2 engine. Note rudder is deflected to the right compensating for the failed engine on the left side. |

Yes, of course! Looking at that view they are indeed close enough to affect each other. So that`s the reason they made us assume the aerofoil sections in the uni wind tunnels were of infinite length!! Cheers.. and a great pic - thanks for sharing it.. |
