Can someone please explain the mechanics of this incident. Is it saying a 727 was spun 360 degrees on a taxyway?

All Fedex aircraft registration numbers end in "FE".

The aircraft described must have been hit by the blast from a parking Fedex 727. Billings ramp is steep, and huge amounts of power are required if you can't carry enough speed into it.

The writer's command of the King's english is striking, isn't it?

Not quite. There is a block of ex-KAL A300B4-622s that have serials ending in "FD" - ie, N716FD to N723FD, as do a couple of A310s.

The ATR42s seem to have been allocated serials ending in "FX".

I don’t know if it is all that strange, the first time I landed a 72 it tried to do that.
