A bit slow?
Hello,
It will be nice to be assured, that this was nothing (or not too much) to worry about ... - on long straight final approach, A320 family, at around 5000 ft (+/- 2000 ft I suppose, judging from time time passed since we went below 10,000 ft). Small but sudden and very noticeable increase in pitch, followed by a couple of roll oscillations (maybe 15-20 degrees amplitude). Then immediately, power was added (not a huge amount). End of (non)-event. Thank you ! |
Hot day, thermal, some form of turbulence or spot of windshear perhaps?
Watching a Jodel on approach to 29 at Biggin many years ago with me airband on, it suddenly sank like a stone a few hundred yards from the threshold, big burst of power and the drop was arrested at 100' or so followed by a radio call "think there's a bit of shear on the approach there!" |
