Antonov An-124 PAE to LCK

Antonov An-124 leaving PAE in a few minutes. (0800 PST) Chance to see that thing fly!

Landing at 1513 EST (scheduled)

Heading to LCK to pick up the 777X engines?

For those not familiar with the IATA codes, (and I am sure there are many!), PAE is Paine Field near Seattle and LCK is Rickenbacker International Airport about 10 miles (16 km) south of downtown Columbus, Ohio.

In the early '90s, we had 3 of them in at Farnborough at the same time taking a load of Land Rovers out to Siberia non stop.

Great aircraft that fills a very useful niche - pity they didn't build more of them TBH
